Extended this year through October 10, Northampton has once again opened up its sidewalks and streets to outdoor dining! It’s happening all around the city, as local restaurants design creative fresh-air spaces to sip a glass of wine, munch on coffee and croissants, or relish a lovely alfresco dinner as the sun goes down.

“Summer on Strong” returns for an awesome second year, a unique space created by the city to provide pedestrian-friendly shopping and fine dining. Strong Avenue, a street chock full of restaurants, bars, and boutiques, is closed to traffic from late May through mid-October. Flowers are everywhere, and the street is packed with dining tables and cheerful umbrellas. The ambiance is enhanced by live music emanating from a gazebo stage, featuring our acclaimed local singers and musicians.
