Benefit Silent Art Auction at Paradise City

Paradise City’s Silent Art Auctions have raised nearly half a million dollars over the years to benefit community causes and non-profits including Hospice, Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society, the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts, the Cancer Connection, WGBY Public Television and the International Language Institute. The beneficiary organization receives 100% of the donated funds.

In support of our hometown, this fall’s traditional Silent Art Auction will benefit the Chamber of Commerce of the delightful City of Northampton. If you’ve been here before (or live here!) know that Northampton possesses a unique downtown “walking Main Street”, filled with independently owned one-of-a-kind shops, galleries, restaurants, antique stores, nightclubs, and theaters. Paradise City Arts Festival, by holding this year’s auction to benefit the Chamber, helps to keep it vibrant and attractive in these challenging times.

Give Northampton some quality love this October! Bid high and often on a different selection every day of beautiful items generously donated by Paradise City’s exhibitors. Get tips on what to do and where to dine from the enthusiastic volunteers at the Silent Art Auction.

Bidding ends at 4pm on Saturday and Sunday, and 3pm on Monday. The Northampton Chamber of Commerce Auction Tables are in Exhibition Building 3.

The Downtown Northampton Association, part of the Northampton Chamber of Commerce, strives to improve the business and cultural strength of Downtown Northampton through investments in event, arts and dining programming, year-round city beautification projects, tourism and promotion.

New England’s most uncommon destination is definitely Northampton; it surprises you with its sophistication, diversity and eclectic flavor, its small-town ambiance and big-city features, all housed within typical New England clapboard and masonry architecture. This city possesses a unique downtown “walking Main Street”, with one-of-a-kind boutiques, galleries, restaurants, antique stores, nightclubs and beautifully restored theaters—certainly not the ubiquitous chain stores that make downtowns all over America look the same. Plus there's the historic Hotel Northampton, with a giant hand-sculpted globe on its roof and large-scale sculptures on its patio, created by Paradise City artists over the years!
