I love dense, complicated patterns and vivid colors. The inspiration for my glass panels comes from vintage fabrics and textiles; Japanese kimonos, fabrics from France, Turkey and all over the world. Im also inspired by tiny, complex Ukrainian Easter eggs and the artwork of 19th century botanical artist Ernst Haeckel. He was able to take natural forms and turn them into jewels, a sea urchin into a Faberg egg .

I try to work many colors and designs into each of my panels. I’m a maximalist! To do this I sandblast patterns into flashed glass which is a glass made with a thin veneer of color on top of another color. I also use high fire glass paints and enamels. I can plate two pieces of glass together to create double layers. I construct my panels using lead came.

I enjoy exploring how complex and colorful I can make each piece of glass in each of my panels and experimenting with color, form and light.

Each of my panels is handmade by me and is one of a kind.
