Roxane Chardon uses muted tones to create her understated landscape and still life paintings. Working in pastels and oil paint, she produces images that are representational, but that sometimes soften to the point of near abstraction. Atmospheric conditions drive the theme of these works, while her travels throughout New England are her inspiration.
