Chelsea Bird’s jewelry designs are inspired by forms in nature and influenced by her study of pattern design. Her love of color and contrasting textures features predominately in her work. She works primarily in Sterling silver, which is formed and textured using chasing and repousse, dapping, and hydraulic press forming. Color is added to her work with glass enamel, most often using the Champlevé technique to create fields of bold color set into the silver surface. Her delicate and modern designs are light and pleasing to wear. The small splashes of color and sparkle, compliment anything from casual chic to eveningwear.
