Ann Brauer grew up on a farm in Illinois where she developed a firm sense of the importance of place and being. Her quilts reflect her love of color, design and the traditions of quiltmaking.
Her work is in numerous public and private collections including the American Museum of Art + Design, the Lodge at Turning Stone and the Federal District Courthouse in Springfield, MA. In 2006 she received an Award of Excellence from the American Craft Council at the Baltimore Craft Show. She has also received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Massachusetts Artist Foundation.
