Frances Kite is a master of cloisonné enamel, bringing a burst of color, an edge of texture and a sense of depth to her work in gold and silver. Aaron Macsai likes to alloy18K gold because of the soft and subtle colors he can create. He is also fascinated by the process of marriage-of-metals, creating intricate patterns by combining copper, silver and gold. The tight precision of Macsai’s jewelry provides the perfect framework for Kite’s exuberant colors and lines. They fell in love at Paradise City in 2011, married and now share a studio just outside of Chicago.
