Working from her Portland, Maine studio, Meghan Miller creates serving boards, trays, wall décor, and even the occasional surfboard adorned with resin ocean tides lapping on grained wooden shores. She somehow manages to transfer the depth, complexity, and serenity of the sea into her craft. Each piece is completely one of a kind—she can use the same pigments on two identical pieces of wood simultaneously, yet they will come out strikingly different.
