Lori Lupe Pelish - Hand-hooked Rug

Lori Lupe Pelish creates exuberant hand-hooked rugs; the variety of color and texture in the wool is enhanced by over-dyeing. She has taken her art form a step further in collaboration with her woodworker husband, David Pelish. Together they design benches, ottomans and footstools with carved and turned wooden bases and cushioned, elaborately hooked tops.
She has exhibited her work at the Museum of Art and Design in New York City, the Danforth Museum of Art in Massachusetts and two Fiber Art International Biennial Exhibitions.
