Artist Erin Moran creates pottery inspired by the colors of spring and summer. She has worked in many mediums, including metal, but prefers clay. For her, “working with clay is much kinder and more forgiving than metal. I love the softness of it, the versatility and that I can leave my fingerprints, literally, all over my work.”
Each piece is hand built and glazed in sunny colors, with a wonderfully tactile surface. Moran has always been intrigued by both surrealism and folk art and feels her work is a combination of the two. This Sunflower Platter, along with her Daisy Vases, Bird Sugar Bowls and colorful dinnerware sets, bring sunshine and warmth into any home.
“Hand Built Plates”, white earthenware with underglazes. Salad plate 8.5″diameter, dinner plates 10″ diameter.
