Ning Lee, a contemporary realist painter, was born in Chongqing in Southwest China, where he received his MFA. What distinguishes his paintings, apart from their evident skill, is a vision of serenity, order and harmony. His body of work, inspired by Renaissance painters and 17th century Dutch masters, has a slightly surreal edge to it. Lee was awarded “Best of Still Life” at the 3rd Annual International Guild of Realism Juried Exhibition. His extraordinary paintings reside in the permanent collections of museums, corporations and universities in the United States and abroad.
