Making art for me is a journey where I purposely get lost. The visual connection from my original source material dramatically changes in the translation to becoming a drawing or painting. The image departs from the visual and delves into all of the senses.

I have no interest in conveying a specific moment in time or place, but rather the essence of what makes a place magical. In my searching, the landscape and all its components become metaphors for relationships, both inter and intra personal. The joy of living, conflicts and the beauty of friendships, a reflection of my life and of the lives of others that I encounter, all become mirrored to me through the interpretation and creation of beauty.
