Katherine McClelland uses both wet and needle felting techniques to produce richly layered figurative images. When used by McClelland, the innovative combination of these techniques allows for sumptuous imagery bursting with color, fine detail and texture. Expressive of joy, deeply meditative or even political in nature, her fiber paintings are astonishing in their complexity and beauty.
