Teresa Crowninshield believes that an elegant well-fitting jacket can transform and even ‘make an outfit’ and that skillful pattern work is the key to unlocking the unique beauty of each woman’s figure.
Crowninshield began designing clothing while living as an English teacher in China. Seeking to take her style and fit to the next level, she began an apprenticeship under 77-year old Master Pattern Engineer, Shirley Willett. She learned old-world techniques for sketching, draping, and sculpting each curve by hand.
Crowninshield’s aesthetic is fashion-forward, yet inspired by her years in Asia. From a cashmere evening coat to her very feminine silk “Chrysanthemum Jacket”, you’ll find a wide range of styles and cuts in her booth!
