Irene Miller set herself a daunting creative project a couple of years ago: how to make a wallet-cum-card holder that keeps its shape. The answer was rugged yet refined, three layers of Baltic birch plywood stacked together between two pieces of leather. Miller says, “I really (really) like when things work. I also really (really) like when things look good while working because that means it works in two different ways. I like clean lines and natural forms. I like utility and beauty.” She can customize the leather with tooling, embroidery, engraving or studs. Booth 107 Wood and Leather Wallet crafted by hand by Irene Estelle Miller of BLACK BOSK.
