Scott Sober states, “I design around the environment that the furniture will reside in to create harmony.” He works alone in his studio, building furniture of heirloom quality that is made to last. He loves using domestic hardwoods and veneers like maple, ash, cherry, walnut, and oak, but he will also incorporate more exotic woods when the design requires it. Sober received his degree in Furniture Design in 1991 from The School for American Craftsman at Rochester Institute of Technology, and he stills works and lives in upstate New York.
