When ceramist Steven Hayden first moved to New Hampshire, blacksmith David Little offered him a residency in his studio. Thus began an artistic partnership that neither man anticipated at the time.
Hayden creates mixed-media furniture, home accessories and sculpture that incorporate ceramics, metal and woodworking. Little’s beautifully hand wrought iron in a traditional aesthetic merges with Hayden’s more contemporary wood, tile, and copper panel elements. Together, these two American master craftsmen build tables, chairs, lamps, desks and even bedroom sets that pay homage to their New England roots while embracing the spirit of the 21st century.
