Photographer Claudia Ward lives year-round in Bridgehampton on Long Island in New York, a beach town known for its wide stretches of sand and dramatic surf. It’s no wonder that she found herself captivated by the clear light, luminous water, blue-green colors and powerful energy of the sea. Her spectacular portraits of waves – each one truly has a different personality – have been exhibited at Ashawagh and Guild Halls, the Water Mill Museum and the Hutchins Gallery, all in New York.
