Erin Moran writes, "All of my work is done by hand building either by pinching a ball of clay into a cup or bowl or pounding out a slab of clay for plates. With this process my finger prints are left on each piece and leave a wonderfully tactile surface. Because of this process no two pieces are ever the same and I love the one-of-a-kind aspect of my work. I have always been intrigued by both surrealism and folk art and feel my work is a blend of the two. One of the best parts of what I do is that it brings a smile to everyone who sees (and feels) it."
